Trade Price Decking Limited Warranty

Trade Price Decking Ltd warrants to the original purchaser (“Purchaser”) that, for a period of twenty-five (25) years from the date of original purchase, under normal use and service conditions, the decking materials will be free from material defects in workmanship and materials and will not split, splinter, rot, or suffer structural damage from termites or fungal decay.

For the purposes of this warranty:

  • A “residential application” refers to installation of Trade Price Decking products at an individual residential property.

  • A “commercial application” refers to any installation of Trade Price Decking products other than at an individual residence.

All warranties are subject to the exclusions, limitations, and restrictions set out below.

Obtaining Warranty Performance

If the Purchaser discovers a defect in the Trade Price Decking products during the warranty term, the Purchaser must notify Trade Price Decking within thirty (30) days of discovering the alleged defect, and no later than the end of the warranty period.

Notification must be provided in writing to:

The notification must include:

  • Proof of purchase

  • A written description of the defect

Trade Price Decking may request additional information in order to assess the claim.

After reviewing the information provided, Trade Price Decking will determine whether the claim is valid. If the claim is approved, Trade Price Decking may, at its sole discretion:

  • Replace the defective decking materials, or

  • Refund the portion of the purchase price relating to the defective products

This warranty does not cover the cost of removal, reinstallation, labour, freight, or any associated installation costs.

These remedies represent the sole and exclusive remedy available under this warranty.

If a refund or replacement is provided, the compensation will be prorated according to the schedule below.

Where replacement materials are provided, Trade Price Decking may replace the equivalent percentage of the defective decking products listed above.

Transfer of Warranty

Residential Applications

This warranty may be transferred once within five (5) years from the original purchase date to a subsequent buyer of the property where the decking was originally installed.

Commercial Applications

For commercial installations, the warranty may be freely transferred to subsequent buyers of the property where the decking was originally installed.

Exclusions from Warranty Coverage

This warranty does not cover, and Trade Price Decking shall not be responsible for, product failure, malfunction, or damage caused by:

  1. Improper installation or failure to follow Trade Price Decking installation guidelines, including incorrect board spacing.

  2. Use of the products beyond normal use or outside recommended applications or local building codes.

  3. Movement, distortion, collapse, or settlement of the ground or supporting structure on which the decking is installed.

  4. Acts of God or environmental conditions, including flooding, storms, earthquakes, lightning, air pollution, mould, mildew, or similar events.

  5. Staining from foreign substances such as dirt, grease, oil, or other contaminants.

  6. Natural variations or changes in colour.

  7. Normal weathering caused by exposure to sunlight, weather, and atmospheric conditions, including fading, chalking, or staining.

  8. Normal wear and tear.

  9. Improper handling, storage, abuse, or neglect by the purchaser, subsequent owners, or third parties.

The purchaser is responsible for determining the suitability, fitness, and safety of the decking products for their intended use.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Except for the express written warranty stated above, Trade Price Decking Ltd makes no other warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

All such warranties are expressly disclaimed and excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of Liability

Trade Price Decking’s liability is limited solely to the obligations stated within this warranty.

Under no circumstances shall Trade Price Decking be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits

  • Loss of sales

  • Loss of goodwill

  • Loss of use of products

  • Work stoppage

  • Damage to other property or assets

Trade Price Decking’s total liability shall never exceed the replacement of the defective product or the refund of the purchase price, as described in this warranty.

General Provisions

This document represents the entire agreement relating to the warranty of Trade Price Decking products and supersedes any prior discussions, agreements, or representations.

This warranty may only be modified through a written document signed by Trade Price Decking Ltd and the purchaser or authorised transferee.

No agent, employee, or third party is authorised to provide additional warranties beyond those set out in this document.

This warranty applies only within the United Kingdom.

This warranty applies to products purchased on or after 1 January 2022.
